Phil Rosen: podcast appearances and interviews

Philip E. Rosen (May 8, 1888 – October 22, 1951) was an American film director and cinematographer who directed over 140 films between 1915 and 1949. He was born in Marienburg, in the German Empire, which is now Malbork in Poland, and grew up in Machias, Maine. Rosen was one of the founders of the American Society of Cinematographers. He married model and actress Joyzelle Joyner and passed away in Hollywood, California, from a heart attack. Although he was meant to direct the film The Mad Dog of Europe, written by Herman J. Mankiewicz with Rudolph Hitler as its central character, the project was never realized.
