Peter Scott: podcast appearances and interviews

Peter Scott was a British ornithologist, conservationist, painter, naval officer, broadcaster, and sportsman. He was the only child of Antarctic explorer Robert Falcon Scott and developed an early interest in observing and shooting wildfowl, eventually focusing on their breeding. In 1946, he established the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust in Slimbridge and contributed to global conservation efforts by helping to found the World Wide Fund for Nature, designing its logo. Scott was also an avid yachting enthusiast from a young age and participated in gliding later in life. His sporting achievements include representing the UK in the 1936 Summer Olympics as part of a team and winning a bronze medal in sailing a one-man dinghy. Throughout his career, Scott received numerous honors, including a knighthood in 1973 for his work in wildlife conservation, the WWF Gold Medal, and the J. Paul Getty Wildlife Conservation Prize.
