Peter Rollins: podcast appearances and interviews

Peter Rollins is a Northern Irish writer, public speaker, philosopher, producer, and theologian born on 31 March 1973. His work draws heavily from various strands of continental philosophy, beginning within the tradition of apophatic theology and later evolving toward the theory and practice of death of God theology. Rollins has developed a 'religionless' interpretation of Christianity called pyrotheology, which views faith as a way of engaging with the world rather than a set of beliefs about it. This existential approach sees Christianity as a critique of traditional religious identity, affirmation of specific beliefs, and the pursuit of wholeness through conversion, instead emphasizing doubt, ambiguity, and complexity as vital to faith. His perspective challenges the actual existing church and promotes understanding faith as a form of life that deepens care and concern for the world.
