Peso Pluma: podcast appearances and interviews

Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija, professionally known as Peso Pluma, is a Mexican singer-songwriter and record producer recognized for his contributions to regional Mexican music, particularly corridos tumbados. He began playing guitar during his teenage years and started writing songs influenced by regional Mexican styles. His early work includes the studio albums Ah y Qué? in 2020 and Efectos Secundarios in 2021, which provided him with moderate recognition. His popularity increased with singles such as Por Las Noches and the RIAA-certified El Belicón, the latter featuring Raúl Vega. These successes were followed by the EP Sembrando in 2022 and the song Siempre Pendientes with Luis R. Conriquez, which marked his first appearance on the Billboard Global 200 chart. Collaborations with Natanael Cano, including AMG with Gabito Ballesteros and PRC, gained viral success on TikTok and charted on the US Billboard Hot 100. In April 2023, his duet with Eslabón Armado, Ella Baila Sola, became the first regional Mexican song to reach the top 10 of the Hot 100, peaking at number four. During that week, Kabande achieved a record with eight simultaneous entries on the chart, the most for a Mexican artist. His third studio album, Génesis, earned him his first Grammy Award for Best Música Mexicana Album and reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200. His fourth album, Éxodo, debuted at number five, marking two consecutive top 10 albums in the United States. Known for blending Sinaloa-style sierreño corridos with urban genres such as Latin hip hop and reggaeton, Peso Pluma is regarded as a key figure in the revival of the corrido. He is also noted as Mexico's most-streamed artist of all time.
