Paul Kim: podcast appearances and interviews

Paul Kim is a classical pianist of Korean-American heritage. He began his musical training in southern California and pursued further studies at The Juilliard School. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and completed a Ph.D. at New York University. His teachers included Paul Jacobs, Gary Graffman, Solomon Mikowsky, and Jerome Lowenthal. In addition to his solo career, Kim has performed frequently with his musical family. Alongside his wife Judith Jeon, a soprano, he has presented numerous lieder recitals. In 1995, he and his son Matthew Kim made their debut as a father-and-son piano duo at Carnegie Hall, a performance which sold out. The duo was later joined by his younger son James, forming the trio Paul Kim & Sons, which has performed globally and often in benefit concerts for social and charitable causes. He is the president and co-founder of the Music Angels International Foundation. Kim's spiritual journey in music and his artistic pursuits are featured in the book Creative Spirituality: The Way of the Artist by Robert Wuthnow. Currently, he serves as director of graduate music studies and as a professor of piano and music history at Long Island University LIU Post.
