Paul James: podcast appearances and interviews

Paul James is the host of The Book I Could Have Wrote and is affiliated with SLR Consulting. He is a former professional soccer player who competed as a midfielder and was part of Canada's national team during notable tournaments such as the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games and the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. James is a recognized member of the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame and has also worked as a soccer analyst and coach. He earned his Canada Soccer Coaching 'A' Licence in 1998 and has experience as a player-coach in the Canadian Soccer League. Between 1998 and 2001, he served as a coach with Canadian national youth teams, including participation in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2001. James graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University and furthered his education by completing the Football Industries MBA at the University of Liverpool in England. In addition to his sports career, James has spoken publicly about his struggles with crack cocaine dependency and his protest against treatment he received from York University related to his substance disability.
