Paul Collier: podcast appearances and interviews

Sir Paul Collier, born on 23 April 1949, is a British development economist. He serves as the Professor of Economics and Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford. Additionally, he is a co-director of the International Growth Centre and a Professorial Fellow of St Antony's College, Oxford. Collier holds the position of Professeur invité at Sciences Po. His career includes roles such as a senior advisor to the Blair Commission for Africa and director of the Development Research Group at the World Bank from 1998 to 2003. He has contributed to numerous prominent publications including the New York Times, the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post. Recognized for his expertise in global development, Collier was named by Foreign Policy magazine as one of the top global thinkers in 2010 and 2011. From 2017 to 2018, he served as the academic co-director of the LSE-Oxford Commission on State Fragility, Growth, and Development and was a founding member of the International Growth Centre's Council on State Fragility.
