About Pat Verbeek
Patrick Martin Verbeek, born on May 24, 1964, is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and the current general manager of the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League. Throughout his playing career, which spanned from 1982 to 2002, Verbeek played 20 seasons in the NHL for the New Jersey Devils, Hartford Whalers, New York Rangers, Dallas Stars, and Detroit Red Wings. As a right winger, he was known for his dependability and physicality, recording over 1,400 games. Verbeek uniquely achieved three 40-goal seasons with more than 200 penalty minutes each and totaled thirteen 20-goal seasons. His career totals include 500 goals and 2,000 penalty minutes, making him one of only three players to reach this milestone. He secured his first and only Stanley Cup championship in 1999.
