Pat Porter was an American distance runner known for his achievements in the 1980s, including participation in the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games in the 10000 meters. Born in Wadena, Minnesota, he graduated from Adams State in 1982 with a degree in marketing. During his athletic career, Porter set the world record for a road 10K with a time of 27 minutes and 31.8 seconds in 1983.
