Pat McAfee: podcast appearances and interviews

Patrick Justin McAfee is an American sports analyst, color commentator, former professional wrestler, and former professional football punter and kickoff specialist. He is known for his role as an analyst on College GameDay and as the host of The Pat McAfee Show, which is broadcast on ESPN. McAfee has also appeared regularly on ESPN+ and YouTube, providing sports commentary and analysis. His career in professional football began when he was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL draft. As a player, he was a placekicker for the West Virginia Mountaineers and played in Super Bowl XLIV during his rookie year. During his NFL career, he was recognized with two Pro Bowl selections and earned All-Pro honors in 2014. McAfee retired from football in February 2017 to pursue a career in sports media. He has been involved in college and NFL broadcasts, notably guest-hosting for Fox Sports and joining ESPN's Thursday Night College Football team in 2019. Additionally, he frequently appears on the program Get Up! He has also worked with WWE, initially as a guest commentator in 2018 before signing a contract in 2019. His wrestling career includes serving as a color commentator for WWE pay-per-views and SmackDown; he also made in-ring appearances and engaged in storylines with wrestlers such as Adam Cole and Randy Orton. McAfee's involvement with WWE includes returning to commentary duties in 2024 and 2025, with periods of hiatus to focus on his other broadcasting commitments.
