Horatious Adolphus Pat Kelly (6 August 1944 – 16 July 2019) was a Jamaican rocksteady and reggae singer and an innovative sound engineer. He began his career in the mid-1960s and was a member of the vocal group the Techniques. Kelly joined the group in 1966 after Slim Smith left, and he contributed to their success during a period marked by hits in 1967 and 1968, including 'You Don't Care' and 'Queen Majesty.' His work extended beyond performance as he collaborated with renowned figures such as King Tubby, Bunny Lee, and Scientist, establishing himself as a groundbreaking sound engineer. Kelly's influence in the Jamaican music scene was significant, both for his vocal contributions and his engineering innovations, which helped shape the sound of reggae and rocksteady music. Later in his career, he co-founded and served as CEO of Kelly’s Westport Inn, further cementing his role in the industry.
