Nick Page is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Neighbours, portrayed by actor Mark Stevens. First appearing on-screen on 22 July 1988, Stevens auditioned for the role alongside forty-one other actors and secured the part through screen-tests. The character of Nick is depicted as a tough orphan who becomes homeless following the death of his grandmother. Throughout the series, Nick is characterized as problematic and wayward, often causing trouble for those around him. Stevens has expressed that he personally relates to Nick's tough persona. The writers developed storylines that eventually led to Nick becoming a more likable character, including foster care with Helen Daniels and her family, as well as a romantic relationship with Sharon Davies.
