Nick Gillespie: podcast appearances and interviews

Nicholas John Gillespie, born on August 7, 1963, is an American libertarian journalist. He served as the editor-in-chief of Reason magazine from 2000 to 2008 and was the editor-in-chief of Reason.com and Reason TV from 2008 to 2017. Gillespie joined the staff of Reason in 1993 as an assistant editor and then became the publication's editor-in-chief, a role he held for eight years. As of 2025, he holds the position of editor-at-large at Reason. Gillespie has edited an anthology titled Choice: The Best of Reason and has made numerous media appearances on outlets such as CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher. His work primarily explores themes including free markets, limited government, free speech, and criminal justice reform.
