Nick Foles is an American former professional football quarterback who played in the National Football League for eleven seasons. He is notable for his time with six teams and is best known for his success with the Philadelphia Eagles. During his career, he led the Eagles to their first Super Bowl title and was named the Super Bowl MVP. Foles played college football for the Arizona Wildcats and was drafted by the Eagles in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft. His breakout season occurred in 2013, when he set the NFL record for the best touchdown–interception ratio and guided the Eagles to a division title, earning him Pro Bowl honors. Following a less successful subsequent year and a season with the St. Louis Rams, Foles spent 2016 as a backup with the Kansas City Chiefs. He returned to the Eagles in 2017 during Carson Wentz's injury, and in that season, he became the starting quarterback for the playoff run that led to the Super Bowl victory. Foles continued to be a key player for the Eagles in 2018, helping them reach the postseason again after Wentz was injured. In 2019, Foles signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars but suffered an injury during the season opener. He later played with the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts, serving as both a backup and starter before retiring from professional football.
