Neale Daniher: podcast appearances and interviews

Neale Francis Daniher was an Australian rules footballer and coach. He played for the Essendon Football Club in the Victorian Football League and Australian Football League and later coached the Melbourne Football Club from 1998 to 2007. His coaching career also included positions with Essendon, Fremantle, and West Coast. Coming from a family with a strong football background, his brothers Terry, Anthony, and Chris also played for Essendon. In 2013, Daniher was diagnosed with motor neurone disease and subsequently became a prominent advocate for medical research and support for those affected by the condition. He co-founded the FightMND charity and used his platform to bring awareness and drive initiatives related to the disease. His advocacy earned him multiple recognitions, including being appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia and receiving the titles of Victorian of the Year in 2019 and Australian of the Year in 2025.
