Nate Schmidt: podcast appearances and interviews

Nathan Thomas Schmidt, born on July 16, 1991, is an American professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for the Utah Mammoth of the National Hockey League. He began his NHL career after playing at the University of Minnesota and signing with the Washington Capitals in 2013, despite not being drafted. Over his career, Schmidt has played for several teams including the Capitals, Vegas Golden Knights, Vancouver Canucks, Winnipeg Jets, and Florida Panthers. He was claimed by the Golden Knights in 2017 and was part of their inaugural season, which resulted in the team reaching the Stanley Cup Final against the Capitals. After periods with the Canucks and Jets, Schmidt signed with the Panthers as a free agent in 2024. In 2025, he was part of the Florida Panthers team that won the Stanley Cup.
