Fernando Seler Parrado Dolgay, born on December 9, 1949, is a Uruguayan who has gained recognition as a survivor of the 1972 Andes plane crash. As one of the sixteen survivors of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, he endured more than two months trapped in the mountains following the crash. During this time, he demonstrated remarkable resilience and endurance. Parrado is also known for his role as a businessman, producer, motivational speaker, author, and television presenter. Notably, he, along with Roberto Canessa, undertook a ten-day trek across the Andes to seek help for the other survivors. His experiences have been instrumental in inspiring numerous individuals, and he has shared his story through various platforms. In addition to his survival story, Parrado has engaged in activities such as rugby and racing, underscoring his diverse interests and pursuits.
