Morris Lamont Chestnut, born on January 1, 1969, is an American actor known for his work in film and television. He gained early recognition for his role as Ricky Baker in the 1991 film Boyz n the Hood. His film credits include G.I. Jane, The Brothers, Like Mike, Ladder 49, The Game Plan, The Call, and Kick-Ass 2. He is also recognized for his portrayal of Lance Sullivan in the film The Best Man, which was released in 1999, and he reprised this role in the 2013 sequel film The Best Man Holiday and the 2022 series The Best Man: The Final Chapters.
