Mmusi Maimane: podcast appearances and interviews

Mmusi Aloysias Maimane, born on June 6, 1980, is a South African politician and businessman who is the leader of Build One South Africa. He previously served as the leader of South Africa's opposition Democratic Alliance from May 10, 2015, to October 23, 2019, and was the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly during the same period. Maimane was the first black South African to lead the Democratic Alliance. His political career includes serving as the leader of the Democratic Alliance in the Johannesburg City Council and as the party's national spokesperson. In 2011, he was elected as the party's mayoral candidate for Johannesburg in the municipal elections, helping to increase the party's voter base despite not being elected mayor. Following this, he served as the Leader of the Official Opposition in the Johannesburg City Council until May 2014. Beyond his political activities, Maimane is also a pastor and elder at Liberty Church. In 2020, he founded the One South Africa Movement. On September 24, 2022, Maimane launched his new political party, Build One South Africa.
