Mark Jacob Lenderman, born on February 4, 1999, is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for his work in the indie rock and alternative country genres. He has established a solo career with notable albums such as Boat Songs in 2022 and Manning Fireworks in 2024, both of which received widespread critical acclaim. Lenderman gained further recognition through his role in the indie rock band Wednesday, with whom he has recorded four studio albums including Twin Plagues, Mowing the Leaves Instead of Piling 'Em Up, Rat Saw God, and Bleeds. In 2025, he stepped back from live performances as a member of Wednesday to focus on his solo pursuits, although he remains involved with the band in a non-touring capacity.
