Mitch Horowitz: podcast appearances and interviews

Mitch Horowitz, born on November 23, 1965, is an American author, publisher, speaker, podcaster, and television host with a focus on occult and esoteric themes. He has written extensively on religion and metaphysics, with his work appearing in publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Time, and CNN.com. Horowitz has also appeared on various broadcast platforms including NPR, CBS News, NBC News, and Vice News. In 2024, he began hosting the UFO-themed television series Alien Encounters: Fact or Fiction on Discovery and HBO Max. He is also a host on SpectreVission Radio, a podcast network founded by Elijah Wood, where he leads the series Extraordinary Evidence: ESP Is Real, which investigates the history and data surrounding extrasensory perception research. Additionally, Horowitz plays himself in V/H/S/Beyond, a horror anthology film on Shudder, which was well received by critics and nominated for a Critics Choice Award. He has appeared in the 2025 MGM+ docuseries Let the Devil In. Financially, he has served as editor-in-chief of TarcherPerigee and was a vice-president at Penguin Random House.
