Miranda July, born Miranda Jennifer Grossinger on February 15, 1974, is an American film director, screenwriter, actress, and author. Her work spans various media including film, fiction, monologue, digital presentations, and live performance art. She wrote, directed, and starred in the films Me and You and Everyone We Know in 2005 and The Future in 2011. In 2020, she wrote and directed the film Kajillionaire. As an author, she has published a collection of short stories titled No One Belongs Here More Than You in 2007, a nonfiction collection called It Chooses You in 2011, and two novels, The First Bad Man in 2015 and All Fours in 2024.
