Mike Miles: podcast appearances and interviews

F. Mike Miles is the current superintendent of the Houston Independent School District. He previously served as the superintendent of the Dallas Independent School District from July 1, 2012, to June 25, 2015. Before his roles in Texas, Miles was a superintendent for Harrison School District 2 in Colorado Springs, where he linked teacher and principal pay to improvements in student achievement. He also operated an educational consulting firm called Focal Point during his tenure in Colorado Springs, but the business was wound down after he took the position at Dallas ISD due to contractual restrictions on outside activities. Miles has also served in the U.S. Army as a ranger and has worked in the U.S. State Department.
