Mike Martinez is the vice president of business management at Activejunky.com. His background includes serving as a member of the Austin City Council and running as a mayoral candidate in Austin, Texas. He has held leadership roles in transportation and business development organizations, including serving as the Board Chair of the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Martinez has been involved with the Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Enterprise and Small Business Council Subcommittee, and has participated in various other committees such as the Judicial Committee and the Public Health and Human Services Subcommittee. He has also served on the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas and has experience as a diversity trainer with the National Coalition Building Institute. Prior to his current role, Martinez worked for the Austin Fire Department, where he was the head of the firefighter's union.
