Michael John Gallagher is an American foreign policy advisor and politician who served four terms in the United States House of Representatives representing Wisconsin's 8th congressional district until April 2024. During his time in Congress, he held the role of chairwoman of the House Select Committee on Competition with the Chinese Communist Party. Gallagher made a notable vote against the impeachment of Homeland Security secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in February 2024, which drew criticism from some members of his party.
