Mike Faist: podcast appearances and interviews

Michael David Faist is an American actor born on January 5, 1992. He is an alumnus of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and began his acting career in 2011, appearing in Disney's Newsies, both in its initial run and later on Broadway from 2012 to 2013. Faist performed in several independent films, television series, and Off-Broadway productions before gaining wider recognition for his role in the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, which ran from 2015 to 2018. His performance in Dear Evan Hansen earned him a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical and contributed to his winning the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. In 2021, Faist starred in the television series Panic and made his first major film appearance as Riff, the leader of the Jets, in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story. His role in the film earned him a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. He subsequently played Jack Twist in a West End production of Brokeback Mountain in 2023 and starred in the romantic sports film Challengers, released in 2024.
