Michael Evan Bloom, born on April 5, 1975, is an American musician, singer, composer, producer, and mixer. Throughout his career, he has performed, produced, or recorded with a variety of artists including Rilo Kiley, Jenny Lewis, Julian Casablancas, Johnathan Rice, Margot & the Nuclear So and So's, and Rachael Yamagata. Bloom is known for his versatility as a musician, playing multiple instruments such as guitar, bass, lap steel guitar, keyboards, drums, banjo, and harmonica. He was also a co-founder of the band The Elected. In addition to his work as a performer and producer, Bloom has served as a composer and has worked as a music supervisor for films and television shows.
