Mike Becker: podcast appearances and interviews

Mike Becker is an American bridge player and official with a significant impact on the game. He is known for training more than 50 bridge players, including 15 who achieved national champion status. Becker and his partner Ron Rubin played together both in a New York City options firm and at the bridge table, utilizing a strong one-club relay bidding system known as the 'Ultimate Club.' As a member of the 'Aces' team sponsored by Dallas businessman Ira Corn, he contributed to winning the 1983 Bermuda Bowl, a world team championship. In addition to his competitive achievements, Becker has served as President of the Greater New York Bridge Association and has been actively involved in governing committees related to U.S. international bridge competitions. He chaired the committees overseeing the U.S. International Team Trials from 1996 to 2012 and was the founding president of the United States Bridge Federation established in 2001, which aims to select and support teams representing the United States in international competitions. Becker's contributions to bridge were recognized with his induction into the ACBL Hall of Fame in 2006.
