Michael Lombard, born Michael Labombarda, was an American actor known for his work in theatre and television. Born on August 8, 1934, to parents from Giovinazzo, Bari, Italy, Lombard and his family settled in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Throughout his career, he received notable accolades including a Drama Desk Award nomination in 1977 for his performance in Otherwise Engaged and an Obie Award in 1991 for his role in What's Wrong With This Picture. On television, Lombard is recognized for his portrayal of Marshall Beck in all fifteen episodes of the series Filthy Rich during 1982 and 1983. He also made guest appearances in numerous popular American television series spanning from the mid-1970s to the early 2000s. His television credits include guest roles in Kojak, The Mary Tyler Moore Hour, The Rockford Files, Three’s Company, Riptide, Spenser: For Hire, Miami Vice, The Cosby Show, and multiple episodes of Law & Order and its spinoffs. Additionally, Lombard appeared in four episodes of Barney Miller, playing different characters in each.
