Michael Lange: podcast appearances and interviews

Michael Lange, born on March 1, 1950, is an American television director and record producer. He developed an interest in drama during college, where he participated as both an actor and director in various productions. Lange studied theatre at George Washington University. After completing his education, he established a regional theatre in Teaneck, New Jersey, before transitioning into advertising. In 1980, after eight years in the advertising industry, he moved to California with aspirations of becoming a film and television director. His first job in television was on The Fall Guy in 1982 as a post-production assistant. Lange has directed approximately two hundred and forty television episodes across numerous popular series including The O.C., Beverly Hills, 90210, Northern Exposure, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The X-Files, One Tree Hill, Dawson's Creek, Everwood, Criminal Minds, and Bones. In addition to television, he has directed one feature film titled Intern, as well as the Disney Channel television movie Jumping Ship and the ABC Family TV film My Future Boyfriend. Lange has served as co-executive producer and director for the ABC Family series Greek and the Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva. In 2010, he co-founded Flashbang Productions, LLC, with Shannon Murphy. In 2018, Lange launched a radio show and podcast called From The Set With Michael Lange, expanding his reach into new media channels.
