Michael Collier: podcast appearances and interviews

Michael Robert Collier, born in 1953, is an American poet, teacher, and editor. He has published five books of original poetry as well as a translation of Euripides' Medea. In addition to his poetry, he has authored a book of prose about poetry and has edited three anthologies of poetry. Collier served as the Poet Laureate of Maryland from 2001 to 2004, a recognition of his contributions to the poetic community. As of 2011, he holds the position of director of the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference and is a professor of creative writing at the University of Maryland, College Park. He also works as the poetry editorial consultant for Houghton Mifflin, now known as Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Collier’s work spans various roles within the literary field, including teaching, editing, and program administration, contributing to the promotion and development of poetry.
