Michael Chang is the marketing manager of MSI South Africa. With a background as a former professional tennis player and coach, he achieved significant success in his sports career, including being ranked world No. 2 by the Association of Tennis Professionals in 1996. Chang is notably the youngest man to win a singles major, having secured the 1989 French Open title at 17 years and 109 days old. Throughout his tennis career, he won 34 ATP Tour-level singles titles, which include seven Masters titles, and was a three-time major runner-up. His accomplishments led to his induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2008. After retiring from professional play, Chang transitioned into coaching, with notable roles such as coaching Kei Nishikori from 2014 to 2025. Currently, he coaches Learner Tien. As marketing manager at MSI South Africa, Chang applies his leadership skills and strategic expertise to foster the company’s growth in the region.
