Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, known professionally as Megan Thee Stallion, is an American rapper, songwriter, and actress. She gained recognition through viral social media videos of her freestyling, which led her to sign with 1501 Certified Entertainment in 2018. She achieved mainstream success in 2019 with her mixtape Fever and the following year with her extended play Suga. Her 2019 singles Hot Girl Summer and Cash Shit, along with her 2020 single Savage, which featured Beyoncé and won two Grammy Awards, contributed to her rise. Savage topped the US Billboard Hot 100, and its remix was highly acclaimed.
