Megan Anna Rapinoe born on July 5, 1985, is an American former professional soccer player who primarily played as a midfielder and winger. Throughout her career, she represented Seattle Reign FC in the National Women's Soccer League and was a key member of the United States national team. Rapinoe contributed to the national team's victories at the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2015 and 2019, and they finished second in 2011. She also secured a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics. From 2018 to 2020, she served as a co-captain of the U.S. national team alongside Carli Lloyd and Alex Morgan.
