Mazin Qumsiyeh: podcast appearances and interviews

Mazin Butros Qumsiyeh is a Palestinian scientist and author, born in 1957 in Beit Sahour. He is the founder and director of the Palestine Museum of Natural History and the Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability at Bethlehem University, where he also teaches. Throughout his career, Qumsiyeh has served on the faculties of the University of Tennessee, Duke University, and Yale University before joining Bethlehem and Birzeit Universities in 2008. At these institutions, he contributed to the introduction of the first Biotechnology Masters program in the region. Qumsiyeh has published over 150 scientific papers on topics including cultural heritage and biodiversity, in addition to authoring several books. Beyond his academic contributions, he is involved with various Palestinian youth and service organizations, serving on the boards of Al-Rowwad Children Theater and Siraj Center.
