Matt Schmidt was born on June 5, 1979, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a former professional soccer player who played as a defender and midfielder. During his career, he played for the Minnesota Thunder, a team in the USL First Division, from 2001 until 2006. Schmidt played youth soccer at Marquette High School before attending Yale University, where he graduated in 2001. In 2001, he was drafted in the second round of the National Professional Soccer League Draft by the Milwaukee Wave. Beyond his sports career, Schmidt is known as a quantum healing practitioner. He has an affiliation with the NH Golf Association. His background combines athletic experience with alternative health practices.
