Matt Pinfield: podcast appearances and interviews

Matthew Pinfield, born on May 28, 1961, is an American television host, disc jockey, and music executive. He first gained national recognition as a VJ on MTV, notably hosting the alternative music program 120 Minutes during two separate periods, from 1995 to 1999 on MTV and from 2011 to 2013 on MTV2. Pinfield's career in music began in the early 1980s when he worked as a radio and club DJ in the New Jersey alternative rock scene. He was involved with WHTG-FM, where he contributed as both a DJ and music director, and received several awards for his work there. In 1995, MTV hired him to host their late-night alternative music show, which marked his rise to prominence. Beyond MTV, he hosted various programs on MTV, MTV2, and VH1. After leaving MTV in 1999, Pinfield hosted Farmclub.com, a live music show that aired on the USA Network. He then served as vice president of A&R and artist development at Columbia Records from 2001 to 2006. Since then, he has worked as a DJ and television host across numerous terrestrial and satellite radio stations and television networks, maintaining an active presence in the music and broadcasting industries.
