Matthew Guion Maher, born on November 10, 1974, is a Canadian Catholic contemporary Christian music artist, songwriter, and worship leader based in the United States. Throughout his career, he has released nine albums, three of which have reached the Top 25 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart, and four singles that have achieved Top 25 status on the Christian Songs chart. Maher has co-written several well-known songs including 'Your Grace Is Enough,' 'I Will Rise,' 'Because He Lives (Amen),' 'Christ Is Risen,' and 'Lord I Need You,' which have contributed to his prominence in the Christian music scene. His work has garnered critical recognition, earning him nine Grammy Award nominations, and he was honored as Songwriter of the Year at the 2015 GMA Dove Awards.
