Matt Kennedy: podcast appearances and interviews

Matt Kennedy is an investment adviser representative affiliated with Presley Wealth Management. Prior to his career in financial services, Kennedy was a professional soccer goalkeeper in the United States. He played in the North American Soccer League, the American Soccer League, and the Major Indoor Soccer League. In 1979, Kennedy signed with the Philadelphia Fury of the NASL but did not appear in any games before being released. He subsequently played for the Philadelphia Fever of the MISL from 1979 to 1981 and for the Carolina Lightnin' of the ASL in 1983, where he was the league's second leading goalkeeper. In 1984, Kennedy signed with the Minnesota Strikers of the MISL but suffered a knee injury during the preseason that was initially believed to be career-ending. Despite this setback, he played only two games over the next two seasons but became a regular starter during the 1986-1987 season. He later signed as a free agent with the Wichita Wings in 1987. Currently, Kennedy is involved in coaching soccer; he is a coach with Vision Soccer Academy in Waukee, Iowa, and serves as the head coach of Hoover High School. He was also a founding member of the Bangu Soccer Club of Minneapolis and helped establish the Iowa United Soccer Club.
