Matthew Coleman Burke, born on 26 March 1973, is an Australian former rugby union player and a former sport presenter on Sydney's 10 News. As a rugby player, Burke was known for his role as a goalkicker and try-scorer for the Wallabies. He contributed to the team's victories in notable competitions including the 1999 Rugby World Cup, multiple Bledisloe Cups, and Australia's only test series win against the British & Irish Lions in 2001. Upon retiring from international rugby in 2004, Burke held the distinction of being the leading points scorer in the multinational Super Rugby Competition. He is recognized as the most-capped fullback for Australia and ranks as the second highest scorer in Test rugby for the national team. Currently, Burke serves as the defensive coordinator for the Houston Texans and is affiliated with the Center for Congregations.
