Martha Stewart: podcast appearances and interviews

Martha Helen Stewart is an American retail businesswoman, writer, and television personality born on August 3, 1941. She is the founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, a company focusing on home and hospitality that has engaged in publishing, broadcasting, merchandising, and e-commerce. Stewart has authored numerous bestselling books and served as the publisher of Martha Stewart Living magazine. She hosted two syndicated television programs, Martha Stewart Living from 1993 to 2004 and The Martha Stewart Show from 2005 to 2012. Stewart was charged with felony offenses related to the ImClone stock trading case and served five months in federal prison for fraud. Despite concerns that her legal issues might end her media career, she initiated a comeback in 2005, leading her company to profitability by 2006. She rejoined the board of directors of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia in 2011 and became chairwoman again in 2012. The company was acquired by Sequential Brands in 2015. In April 2019, Sequential Brands Group agreed to sell Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, including the Emeril brand, to Marquee Brands for $175 million with additional payments based on benchmarks. As of 2023, at the age of 81, Stewart became the oldest woman to feature on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue magazine. In 2024, she was the subject of a Netflix documentary titled Martha, directed by R. J. Cutler.
