Mark Savage: podcast appearances and interviews

Mark Savage, born on 17 September 1962, is a film and television director, screenwriter, and producer based in the United States but with Australian origins. His work primarily focuses on genres such as thrillers, horror, crime, cult, action, and exploitation films. Savage draws influence from European and Asian genre cinema and has contributed to film criticism through reviews and articles for publications including the Herald Sun, Asian Cult Cinema, Filmnet, and Fatal Visions. He began his career by writing, producing, and directing his first feature film, Marauders, in 1986. Since then, he has developed a diverse filmography that includes titles such as Sensitive New Age Killer, Trail of Passion, Defenceless, Kinderplay, FertIsle, Stressed To Kill, and Purgatory Road. His films have been released and acclaimed internationally, with Purgatory Road notably screened in the United States, Australia, Canada, and the UK.
