Mark Saunders, born in 1962, is a Canadian who has served as a police officer and a politician. He held the position of chief of police with the Toronto Police Service from 2015 until 2020. Saunders has also been involved in political activities, including running as the Progressive Conservative candidate in Don Valley West during the 2022 Ontario election, where he finished second behind Liberal candidate Stephanie Bowman. Additionally, he ran for mayor of Toronto in the 2023 by-election, securing third place behind winner Olivia Chow and runner-up Ana Bailão.
