Mark Eugene Russinovich, born on December 22, 1966, is a Spanish-born American software engineer and author. He serves as the chief technology officer of Microsoft Azure and holds the titles of deputy chief information security officer and technical fellow. Russinovich was a cofounder of the software company Winternals, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2006. His work has focused on developing and guiding cloud computing technologies and security practices at Microsoft.
