Mark Reeder, born on January 5, 1958, is a British musician and record producer who has been active in the music industry for over four decades. Originally from Manchester, England, he developed early interests in progressive rock and electronic music. Reeder gained experience working in a Virgin Records store in Manchester during his youth. Since 1978, he has been based in Berlin, where he founded and owns the German electronic dance music labels MFS and Flesh. In addition to his work as a label owner, Reeder is known for discovering and nurturing new talent; notably, he played a significant role in the early career of German DJ Paul van Dyk, guiding his development from 1991 until 1999 through his extensive industry contacts. His influence extends across a wide range of contemporary musical genres, and he has served as a participant and panel chair at numerous international music conferences since the late 1980s.
