Mark S. Hanson, born on December 2, 1946, is affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He holds the position of Vice President of Strategy, Skills and People Analytics. Hanson has a background in religious leadership, having served as the third Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Prior to this role, he was bishop of the Saint Paul Area Synod and served as a pastor for three Minnesota congregations, including Prince of Glory Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Edina Community Lutheran Church, and University Lutheran Church of Hope in Minneapolis. In addition to his service as Presiding Bishop, Hanson was the 11th President of the Lutheran World Federation.
