Mark Gatiss: podcast appearances and interviews

Mark Gatiss, born on 17 October 1966, is an English actor, comedian, screenwriter, director, producer, and novelist. He is well known for his acting roles on stage and screen, as well as for co-creating television shows with Steven Moffat. Gatiss has received numerous awards, including two Laurence Olivier Awards, a BAFTA TV Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Peabody Award. He co-created, co-wrote, and acted in the BBC comedy series The League of Gentlemen. His notable television roles include Mycroft Holmes in the BBC series Sherlock and Frank Renfield in the miniseries Dracula, both of which he co-created with Moffat. He also wrote several episodes of Doctor Who. Gatiss portrayed Tycho Nestoris in Game of Thrones and appeared as Stephen Gardiner in Wolf Hall and as Peter Mandelson in Coalition. His film credits include Victor Frankenstein, Denial, Christopher Robin, The Favourite, The Father, Operation Mincemeat, and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. On stage, Gatiss played Menenius in Coriolanus and received a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for this role. He won Olivier Awards for his performances as Shpigelsky in A Month in the Country and as Sir John Gielgud in The Motive and the Cue. He also portrayed King George III in The Madness of George III and has performed in productions such as The Recruiting Officer, The Vote, and an adaptation of A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story.
