Mark Richard Benson, born on 6 July 1958, is a former English cricketer and umpire. He was a left-handed batsman who played for Kent for 17 years and represented England in one Test match and one One Day International in 1986. After his playing career, Benson became an umpire and was included on the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. He retired from umpiring in January 2016.
