Mario Rigby: podcast appearances and interviews

Mario Rigby is a Canadian-Turks and Caicos Islander adventure explorer, author, and speaker based in Toronto, Ontario. Born on 24 November 1985 in Grand Turk Island, Turks and Caicos Islands, he is of Jamaican and Bahamian descent. Rigby spent part of his childhood in Stuttgart, Germany, before relocating to Hamilton, Ontario. He competed in track and field for Turks and Caicos from age 14 to 26, participating in multiple world championships and IAAF tournaments. After high school in Hamilton, he attended Western University in London, Ontario, and later moved to Toronto, where he became a fitness trainer and operated a gym in downtown Toronto. Between 2015 and 2017, Rudby undertook an extensive two-year journey called Crossing Africa, which involved walking from Cape Town to Cairo. He is an advocate for diversity in outdoor activities and encourages people of color to engage more actively with the outdoors. Rigby leads hikes, small expeditions, and speaks at various engagements between his major projects.
