Marcus Freeman: podcast appearances and interviews

Marcus Louis Freeman, born January 10, 1986, is an American football coach and former linebacker who currently serves as the head football coach at the University of Notre Dame. He is the 30th person to hold this position at the university. Freeman has previously held roles including defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Notre Dame in 2021. His coaching career also includes positions at the University of Cincinnati, Purdue University, Kent State University, and Ohio State University. As a player, Freeman competed at Ohio State University and was selected by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL draft. Although he was released before the regular season, he continued to be part of practice squads with the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans. He retired from his playing career following the 2009 season due to a heart condition.
